How does the rung system work?

Each Surah you track moves through 5 rungs based on how recently you recited it. Rung 1 = recited today. The Surah gradually drifts to lower rungs if you don't recite it again. The goal is to keep all your Surahs in the top rungs.

Can I split a large Surah into parts?

Yes. In My Surahs, tap the ⚙ icon next to any Surah with multiple Rukus. You can select which Rukus to track individually — each becomes its own item on the dashboard.

The audio isn't playing. What should I do?

Make sure your device is connected to the internet — audio is streamed, not stored offline. Also check that your volume is turned up and the silent switch is not active. If the problem continues, try closing and reopening the app.

How do I back up my data?

Go to Settings → scroll down to Backup & Restore → tap Export Backup. A JSON file will be saved to your device and you can share it to Files, iCloud Drive, or any other app. To restore, tap Restore from Backup and pick the file.

Is my data private?

Yes. All data is stored locally on your device only. Nothing is uploaded to any server. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Can I change the rung boundaries (how many days each rung lasts)?

Yes. Go to Settings → Rung Boundaries. You can adjust the day thresholds for each rung to match your personal memorization schedule.

How do I change the reciter for audio playback?

Go to Settings → scroll to the Reciter section. Tap to expand the list and select from 16 available reciters.

I accidentally marked a Surah. Can I undo it?

Yes! After marking a recitation, a banner appears at the bottom of the screen for 5 seconds with an Undo button. Tap it to remove the entry.
